IP_Seismic 2026.2 Release

August 3, 2026

IP_Seismic 2026.2 is now available. The new version updates the internal structure used to store well data, preserves log types and units of measurement, and improves the speed and stability of read and write operations. A new asynchronous computation manager allows resource-intensive procedures to run without blocking the interface.

The simultaneous inversion module has been significantly improved, with a fully redesigned interface, automatic selection of Bayesian inversion parameters, and advanced settings for experienced users. Computation is now more than ten times faster, and a dedicated quality-control section has been added.

Other additions include shifted RGB maps, updated footprint-removal and lineament-detection algorithms, joint interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data, probability density function visualization, and expanded data exchange with Petrel. Stratigraphic slice computation for large seismic cubes has also been accelerated.
